7th grade artists are critical thinkers.  They are beginning to scrutinize the world around them as an artist might, making connections and analyzing contexts.  They are reflecting on themselves as individuals and how that self connects to the larger community and world around them. 7th grade artists are fine-tuning techniques and emphasizing intentionality and personal choices in both their artwork and the dialogue that surrounds it.
